The organization has released a recruitment notification for 80 vacancies in the Electrical/Projects Department on a fixed-term contract basis. These posts will initially be filled for three years, with a possibility of extension depending on project requirements.

The interviews will be conducted at Executive Club, Konkan Rail Vihar, Near Seawoods Railway Station, Sector-40, Seawoods (West), Navi Mumbai.
Vacancy Details
A total of 80 vacancies have been announced across four different posts in the Electrical/Projects Department. The distribution is as follows:
- Assistant Electrical Engineer (AEE) – 10 posts
- Senior Technical Assistant (Electrical) – 19 posts
- Junior Technical Assistant (Electrical) – 21 posts
- Technical Assistant (Electrical) – 30 posts
These numbers are subject to change depending on project requirements.
Application Fees
The recruitment notification does not mention any application fee. Candidates can attend the walk-in interview with the required documents without any prior fee payment.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Maximum age 45 year limit as on 01 August 2025 varies by post (details in annexures).
- Age relaxation:
- OBC (NCL) – 3 years
- SC/ST – 5 years
- Ex-servicemen – As per discretion of KRCL
Educational Qualification & Experience
- Assistant Electrical Engineer – Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with relevant post-qualification experience.
- Senior Technical Assistant (Electrical) – Engineering degree/diploma in Electrical with specified experience.
- Junior Technical Assistant (Electrical) – Diploma/degree in Electrical with some post-qualification exposure.
- Technical Assistant (Electrical) – Diploma/degree in Electrical or equivalent qualification.

Salary Scale
KRCL offers attractive consolidated remuneration depending on the city category (X, Y, or Z class city).
- Assistant Electrical Engineer – ₹76,660 (X), ₹71,900 (Y), ₹67,140 (Z)
- Senior Technical Assistant (Electrical) – ₹57,140 (X), ₹53,600 (Y), ₹50,060 (Z)
- Junior Technical Assistant (Electrical) – ₹47,220 (X), ₹44,300 (Y), ₹41,380 (Z)
- Technical Assistant (Electrical) – ₹40,500 (X), ₹38,000 (Y), ₹35,500 (Z)
Note: Salary includes Basic Pay, DA, HRA, Conveyance, Mobile Allowance, etc. Annual increment of 4% will be provided after every year, subject to project requirements.

Selection Process
The recruitment will be conducted through a walk-in interview process. Here’s how it works:
- Registration – Candidates must report between 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the interview date.
- Document Verification – Screening of certificates and eligibility criteria.
- Elimination Round (if required) – A written test or group discussion may be conducted if the number of candidates is large.
- Interview – Final evaluation by the Selection Committee.
- Merit List – Based on interview performance, qualification, and relevant experience.
Note: No TA/DA will be provided to candidates for attending the interview.

General Conditions
- Selected candidates will be appointed on a 3-year contract, extendable if required.
- Posting can be anywhere on Konkan Railway project sites.
- Selected candidates must join duty within 30 days of offer letter.
- No accommodation or food allowance will be provided.
- The contract does not guarantee absorption into permanent KRCL service.
- A bond of ₹50,000 will need to be signed as part of the agreement.
- Misconduct, false information, or violation of contract terms may result in termination.
