The Government of Rajasthan has launched the Lado Protsahan Yojana 2025 to promote the birth of daughters, ensure their education, and provide long-term financial security. This flagship initiative is aimed at improving the status of girls in society by giving them economic support from birth until they turn 21 years old. Under the scheme, an amount of ₹1.50 lakh is provided to the girl child in multiple installments, directly into the bank account of the beneficiary’s family to maintain transparency and accountability.

Earlier, the total financial assistance under the scheme was ₹1 lakh, but in 2025, the government increased the amount to ₹1.50 lakh. This decision reflects the state’s commitment to empowering daughters, discouraging child marriage, supporting their education, and building a more positive outlook toward the girl child.

Objectives of the Scheme

The Lado Protsahan Yojana 2025 has been designed with several key objectives:

  1. Encouraging the Birth of Daughters – To change the social mindset and remove discrimination against girl children by providing financial incentives.
  2. Ensuring Financial Security – To support daughters financially from birth to adulthood through a well-structured installment-based assistance system.
  3. Promoting Education – By linking financial installments with education milestones, the scheme encourages families to prioritize the girl child’s education.
  4. Discouraging Child Marriage – By providing financial support until the girl turns 21, the scheme discourages early marriages and promotes higher education.
  5. Women Empowerment – To make daughters financially independent and provide them with a strong foundation to build their future.
  6. Reducing Dropouts – To ensure that financial constraints do not become a barrier to girls’ education and career development.

Key Features of the Scheme

The Lado Protsahan Yojana 2025 includes several important features that make it beneficial and effective:

  • Total Assistance of ₹1.50 Lakh – The amount is distributed in phased installments from the birth of the girl until she reaches 21 years of age.
  • Installment-Based Distribution – Financial aid is linked to important stages of the girl’s life such as birth, school admission, and higher classes, ensuring continuous support.
  • Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) – Money is credited directly into the beneficiary’s bank account for transparency and to avoid any misuse.
  • Focus on Poor Families – The scheme specifically targets economically weaker families to reduce their financial burden.
  • Positive Social Impact – The scheme aims to curb child marriage, promote education, and change societal attitudes toward daughters.
  • Eligibility Limited to Two Daughters – A family can avail the benefits for a maximum of two girl children.

Scholarship/Financial Assistance Amount

The financial assistance under the scheme is released in seven stages. The distribution is as follows:
