Eligibility Criteria
A. Educational Qualification and Experience
- For Assistant Engineer (P01, P02, P03): A regular B.E./B.Tech or AMIE in the relevant discipline (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics) from an AICTE/UGC recognized institution. Additionally, a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in the operation and maintenance of coal-based thermal power plants (210 MW or above) in a State/Central PSU is required.
- For Chemist (P04): A regular B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or an M.Sc. in Chemistry. Minimum percentage requirements apply: 65% for UR, 60% for MPPGCL employees, and 55% for SC/ST/EWS/PwD candidates.
- For Junior Engineer (P05, P06, P07): A regular Diploma/B.E./B.Tech or AMIE in the relevant discipline. A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant role in a coal-based thermal power plant (210 MW or above) in a State/Central PSU is required.
- For Office Assistant Grade-III (P08): Higher Secondary (10+2) and a one-year computer diploma from a recognized institution like UGC, NIELIT, a Government Polytechnic, or a Government ITI. Alternatively, a B.E. (CS/IT), MCA, BCA, B.Sc. (IT/CS), M.Tech, or a Polytechnic Diploma in Computer Science is acceptable. A valid CPCT certificate with qualifying marks in both Computer Data Entry and Hindi Typing is mandatory.
B. Age Limit (As on January 1, 2025)
- Minimum Age: 21 years for Posts P01-P04; 18 years for Posts P05-P08.
- Maximum Age: 40 years for all posts.
Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC), Persons with Disability (PwD), ex-servicemen, and other specified categories as per Madhya Pradesh Government rules.
Pay Scale

Selection Process
The selection of candidates for MPPGCL recruitment 2025 will be based on a single-stage process:
- Computer Based Test (CBT): The selection will be merit-based, determined by the candidate’s performance in a Computer Based Test. The CBT will be of 100 marks, consisting of multiple-choice questions (1 mark each).
- Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted based on their CBT scores will be called for document verification. The final appointment will be contingent upon successful verification of all original documents.
