Important Instructions for Different Applicant Categories
The university has provided specific instructions for different groups of applicants:
- For Existing Applicants (Those who applied in 2023 and 2024): If you have already applied as per the earlier advertisements, you are required to log in to the university portal and fill in additional information. This is mandatory as per a recent government resolution. You do not need to pay the application fee again.
- For Existing Applicants Wishing to Apply for More Posts: If you want to apply for one or more additional positions besides the one you originally applied for, you are allowed to do so. However, you will have to pay the application fee for each additional post.
- For Fresh Applicants: New candidates can apply through the regular online process by paying the prescribed application fee.

Salary Scale (As per 7th Pay Commission)
The selected candidates will be appointed on a lucrative pay scale as defined by the UGC and the Government of Maharashtra:
- Professor: Academic Level-14, with an Entry Pay of ₹ 1,44,200/- per month.
- Associate Professor: Academic Level-13A, with an Entry Pay of ₹ 1,31,400/- per month.
- Assistant Professor: Academic Level-10, with an Entry Pay of ₹ 57,700/- per month.
Detailed Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for each post are as per UGC Regulations and Government of Maharashtra norms. The following is a summary:
A. Professor
- Option A:
- A Ph.D. degree in a relevant field.
- A high-quality research profile with a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
- A minimum total research score of 120 as per UGC criteria.
- At least ten years of teaching experience in a university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, with evidence of having successfully guided Ph.D. candidates.
- Option B:
- An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. in a relevant field from industry or an academic institution, who has made a significant contribution to knowledge, supported by evidence, and has ten years of experience.
B. Associate Professor
- A good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline.
- A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade).
- A minimum of eight years of teaching and/or research experience in a position equivalent to Assistant Professor.
- A minimum of seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of Seventy five (75).
C. Assistant Professor
- Option A:
- A Master‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a concerned subject.
- The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR, or the State Eligibility Test (SET).
- Exemption from NET/SET: Candidates with a Ph.D. degree awarded as per the UGC Regulations of 2009 or 2016 are exempted from NET/SET. For those who registered for their Ph.D. before July 11, 2009, specific conditions apply, including the publication of two research papers from their Ph.D. work.
- Option B:
- A Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the world (by QS, THE, or ARWU) at any time.
Important Notes on Eligibility:
- A relaxation of 5% in marks (from 55% to 50%) is provided at the Master’s level for candidates from SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled categories.
- The time taken to acquire an M.Phil./Ph.D. degree will not be counted as teaching/research experience.
- Qualifications and experience will be counted as of the last date for online application: December 7, 2025.
How to Apply
- Online Application: Candidates must apply online through the official university recruitment website within the specified dates (November 8, 2025, to December 7, 2025).
- Hard Copy Submission: After filling the online form, take a printout. Attach self-attested copies of all required documents in the prescribed order (as listed in the advertisement under Annexures A to F).
