1. Preliminary Examination
The preliminary exam serves as a screening test for selecting candidates eligible to appear in the Main Examination. The detailed syllabus and exam pattern are available on the official MPSC website.
The ratio maintained from the Preliminary to the Main Examination is 1:15 — meaning for each vacancy, 15 candidates will be declared qualified for the Mains.

The ratio of candidates called from the Main Examination to the Personal Interview will be 1:1.5.
3. Personal Interview / Personality Test
Only candidates who successfully clear the Main Examination will be invited to attend the Personal Interview. During the interview, candidates will be evaluated on their overall personality, administrative aptitude, communication skills, general awareness, and suitability for public service.
Final selection will be made based on the cumulative performance in the Main Examination and Interview.

Only candidates who can produce all original documents related to educational qualification, age, caste/community, and other prescribed certificates at the time of interview will be considered eligible for recommendation. Failure to present valid documents will result in disqualification.
