1. Post Name: Driver-Cum-Mechanic/Vehicle Driver (Fire Service) (Group-C)

  • Total Vacancies: 36
  • Pay Scale: S-6, ₹19,900 – ₹63,200/-

Category-wise Breakdown:

  • Unreserved (Open): 8
  • EWS: 3
  • SC: 4
  • ST: 8
  • OBC: 5
  • And other reserved categories as per government rules.

2. Post Name: Fireman (Fire Extinguisher) (Group-D)

  • Total Vacancies: 150
  • Pay Scale: S-6, ₹19,900 – ₹63,200/-

Category-wise Breakdown:

  • Unreserved (Open): 35
  • EWS: 12
  • SC: 15
  • ST: 33
  • OBC: 23
  • And other reserved categories as per government rules.

Note: These vacancies include horizontal reservations for Women, Ex-Servicemen, Project Affected Persons, Sportspersons, etc., as per government norms. The corporation reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts.

Application Fees

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee to complete their submission.

The fee must be paid online through the application portal using net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI. The fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, candidates must carefully ensure they meet the following eligibility conditions:

A. Educational Qualification:

  • For Both Posts: The candidate must have passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent examination from a recognized board. Essentially, you must be a 10th standard pass.

B. Age Limit (as on 01 December 2025):

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age:
    • Open Category: 28 years
    • Backward Class/EWS/Orphan: 33 years
    • Ex-Serviceman, Project Affected, Sportsperson: 33 years
    • Departmental Candidate (Part-Time): 33 years

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government Rules.

C. Physical Standards:

Candidates must meet the following stringent physical standards:

  • Height:
    • Male Candidates: 165 cm
    • Female Candidates: 157 cm
  • Chest:
    • For Male Candidates: 81 cm (unexpanded) with a minimum expansion of 5 cm.
    • (Not mandatory for Female Candidates)
  • Weight:
    • Male Candidates: Minimum 50 Kg
    • Female Candidates: Minimum 46 Kg
  • Eyesight: Good

D. Other Essential Requirements:

  • For Driver-Cum-Mechanic/Vehicle Driver:
    1. Must possess a valid driving license to drive heavy vehicles.
    2. Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a vehicle driver.
    3. Preference will be given to candidates who have successfully completed a 6-month Fireman course from the State Fire Training Centre, Mumbai.
  • For Fireman:
    • Preference will be given to candidates who have successfully completed a 6-month Fireman course from the State Fire Training Centre, Mumbai.
  • Language:
    • For both posts, knowledge of the Marathi language is essential to perform administrative work (reading, writing, and speaking).

Salary Scale and Perks

Selected candidates will be placed in the S-6 Pay Band with a salary scale of ₹19,900 – ₹63,200/-, as per the 7th Central Pay Commission recommendations.

In addition to the basic pay, employees are entitled to various allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other benefits as admissible to Nashik Municipal Corporation employees. Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on a single stage:

  1. Online Written Examination: The final selection will be made purely on the merit basis of the marks obtained in the online objective-type examination.
  2. Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted in the merit list will be called for document verification. They must produce all original certificates and self-attested copies for verification of their educational qualifications, age, category, physical standards, experience, etc.

Note: There will be no personal interview or physical test at this stage. The final appointment is subject to the candidate being found medically and physically fit as per the prescribed standards.
