Age Limit
The age limit for all posts under the Nilgiris District Health Department recruitment is as follows:
Minimum Age:
18 Years
Applicants must have completed 18 years of age on the date of notification.
Maximum Age:
35 Years
The upper age limit for general candidates is 35 years unless otherwise specified by post.
Age Relaxation (As Applicable):
- BC / MBC / DNC candidates: Up to 2–3 years relaxation as per Tamil Nadu government norms

Eligibility Criteria (Post-Wise Requirements)
1. Consultant – Yoga & Naturopathy
- Must have BNYS degree from a recognized university.
2. District Quality Consultant
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dental / AYUSH / Nursing / Social Science / Life Science.
- Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration / Public Health / Health Management (Full Time).
- Certifications in NABH / ISO 9000:2008 / Six Sigma / Lean / Kaizen preferred.
- Experience in Health Quality Systems is an added advantage.
3. District Programme Manager
- B.S.M.S Degree from a recognized university.
- Experience in public health organizations preferred.
- Must know MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Exposure to government health schemes is desirable.
- PG in AYUSH stream is an advantage.
4. Therapeutic Assistant (Male / Female)
- Must have Diploma in Nursing Therapy from a recognized institute.
5. MPHW (Siddha)
- Must have completed 8th Standard.
- Must be able to read and write Tamil.
- Maximum age: 45 years.
6. Audiologist – Speech Therapist
- Bachelor’s degree in Audiology & Speech Language Pathology
or
B.Sc (Speech & Hearing) - Must be from an RCI-approved institution.
7. Audiologist
(Same qualification as above)
- Bachelor’s degree in Audiology & Speech Language Pathology
or
B.Sc (Speech & Hearing) - From an RCI-recognized institute.
8. Dental Technician
- Must have passed 1-year or 2-year Dental Technician Course from a recognized institute.
9. Audiometrician
- Must have completed High School.
- Must possess relevant Diploma or Certificate training for audiometry.
10. Radiographer
- B.Sc in Radiography, or
- Diploma in Radiography from a recognized institute.
11. Data Assistant
- Degree in any of the following:
- Computer Application
- Information Technology
- Business Administration
- B.Tech (CS/IT)
- BCA / BBA / BSc-IT
- OR Any graduation + 1-year computer diploma.
- Minimum 1-year experience required.
- Typing speed: English – 30 WPM, Tamil – 25 WPM.
- Must have working knowledge of MS Office.
- Experience with government social sector schemes is a plus.
12. Multipurpose Hospital Worker / Support Staff
- Passed 8th Standard.
- Must be able to read and write Tamil.
- Maximum age: 45 years.
