Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility, age limit, and qualifications are as per NITs Recruitment Rules (2019) notified by the Ministry of Education (formerly MHRD) and updated periodically.

  • Principal Scientific/Principal Technical Officer: B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc./MCA with first class; 15 years experience in a relevant field.
  • Superintending Engineer: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering with 15 years relevant experience.
  • Deputy Librarian: Master’s Degree in Library Science with 5 years experience.
  • Senior SAS Officer: Master’s in Physical Education/Sports Science; experience in sports management.
  • Medical Officer: MBBS from a recognized institution, preferably MD in General Medicine.
  • Assistant Registrar: Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks.
  • Technical Assistant/Junior Engineer: B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in a relevant branch.
  • Technician/Senior Technician: 10+2 with Science/ITI/Diploma in relevant trade.
  • Junior Assistant: 10+2 with typing speed of 35 w.p.m. and computer proficiency.
  • Lab/Office Attendant: 10+2 or equivalent qualification.
