1. GIS Apprentice

2. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Apprentice

NRL Apprentice 2025 – Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years as on 17 November 2025
  • Upper Age Limit: No upper age limit for apprenticeship training.
  • For diploma engineering candidates, only those who passed between 2023 and 2025 are eligible (as per BoPT guidelines).

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the relevant educational qualifications as mentioned in the discipline-wise table above from a government-recognized institute or university. All mark sheets and certificates must be valid and verifiable.

NRL Apprentice Selection Process 2025

The selection process for NRL Apprenticeship 2025 will be purely merit-based.

  • Step 1: Screening of applications based on eligibility and marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Step 2: Preparation of merit list based on academic performance.
  • Step 3: Final selection after verification of documents and successful signing of apprenticeship contract on government apprenticeship portals.

Reservation Policy

NRL follows the Government of India’s reservation policy. In addition,

  • 50% of total seats are reserved for candidates from Golaghat District, with half of those seats further reserved for students under NRL’s Gyandeep Scheme (HSLC passed).
  • If suitable candidates are unavailable in these categories, remaining seats will be filled from the open category.

  2. Proof of Age – Birth Certificate or HSLC Certificate.
