Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited and Punjab State Power Corporation Limited have announced a major recruitment drive for the year 2025. Together, both corporations are offering a total of 609 vacancies across technical, engineering, clerical, accounts, IT, and legal categories. This combined recruitment includes opportunities for ITI holders, diploma holders, degree engineers, law graduates, commerce graduates, and general graduates.

Important Dates

These dates apply to both combined recruitments:

CRA 12/2025 – PSTCL + PSPCL (270 posts)

Educational Qualification – Post Wise

All qualifications must be from recognized institutions. Punjabi must be passed at least up to Matric level for all posts.

Assistant Lineman (ALM)

• Matriculation
• National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade
• Higher qualifications like diploma or degree are accepted only if the candidate also has the required apprenticeship certificate

Assistant Sub-Station Attendant (ASSA)

Any one of the following:

• ITI in Electrical / Electrician / Wireman
  • Minimum 60% marks
  • One year apprenticeship in PSTCL/PSPCL/PTCUL
    OR
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 60%
  OR
• Diploma in Electronics and Communication with 60%
  OR
• Diploma in Instrumentation and Process Control with 60%

Electrician Grade-II

• Matriculation + ITI in Electrical discipline with 60%

Knowledge of Punjabi

Punjabi must be passed at Matric level or equivalent before the last date of application for every post.

Age Limit

Age as of 1 January 2025:

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 37 years

Age Relaxation for Punjab Domicile

• SC/BC: +5 years
• Persons with Disabilities: +10 years
• Ex-servicemen: As per service period rules
• Widows, divorced women, separated women, deserted women, women whose husbands remarried, and wives of military personnel: upper age limit fixed at 40 years
• Government/PSPCL/PSTCL employees: relaxation up to 45 years

Only the most beneficial relaxation will apply if multiple categories overlap.

Reservation Rules

Reservation applies only to candidates belonging to Punjab.

Applicable categories include:

• Women (33% reservatio n within each category)

Salary Structure

Pay scales are based on the 7th Pay Commission.

Engineering and Professional Posts

Salary Notes

During probation:

• Only basic minimum pay is given
• No DA, HRA, increments, or allowances
• Only medical reimbursement and travel allowance allowed
• If basic pay is lower than Punjab minimum wages, then minimum wages will be paid
• Existing employees may receive pay protection

Probation Period

• Probation period for all posts: Three years
• During this period, only minimum pay applies; allowances are restricted

Selection Process

The selection procedure includes:

• Online written examination
• Category-wise merit list based on exam marks
• Document verification for shortlisted candidates
• Sports category merit list prepared separately by Department of Sports

Most posts do not include an interview unless notified later.
