Note: Fifty percent of the vacancies reserved for Scheduled Castes in direct recruitment will be offered to Balmikis and Mazhbi Sikhs as first preference, if available.

Application Fee

The application fee varies based on the category of the applicant:

  • General / Freedom Fighter / Minority (General): ₹500/-
  • SC / BC / EWS (Economically Weaker Sections): ₹100/-
  • Ex-Servicemen / Dependents: ₹200/-
  • Widow/Divorced Women (40%-70% disability): ₹100/-

Important Notes:

  1. Candidates applying in a category other than their own will be required to pay the fee applicable for the category they are applying under.
  2. The application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have the ability to read and write (literacy essential).

Age Limit (as of 01.01.2025)

  • General Category: 18 to 37 years
  • Scheduled Caste / Backward Class: Up to 42 years
  • Government Servants: Up to 45 years
  • Ex-Servicemen from Punjab: As per Punjab Ex-Servicemen Rules, including service length adjustments
  • Widow/Divorced Candidates: Up to 45 years (including applicable relaxation)
  • Women in specific reserved categories: Up to 40 years

Note: Age relaxation will be provided as per Punjab Government rules, including benefits for ex-servicemen, SC/BC categories, and differently-abled candidates.

Reservation Policy

  • Reservation will apply only to permanent residents of Punjab.
  • Candidates must provide a recent domicile certificate (not older than 5 years) to avail reservation benefits.
  • SC/BC/Ex-Servicemen/Women must submit valid certificates issued as per Punjab government guidelines.
  • Incorrect category information or failure to provide valid documents will lead to disqualification.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be conducted through a merit-based process, considering both literacy qualification and relevant experience. A total of 100 marks will be allotted as follows:
