Reservation Breakdown:

  • Horizontal Reservation is applicable for Women, Ex-Servicemen, and Outstanding Sportspersons within their respective categories.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

  • Essential: Senior Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent from a recognized Board.
  • Computer Qualification: Any one of the following:
    • ‘O’ Level or higher certificate from DOEACC.
    • Certificate Course on Computer Concepts (CCC) from NIELIT.
    • Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA) / Data Preparation and Computer Software (DPCS) certificate under National/State Council of Vocational Training.
    • Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Computer Science/Application from a recognized university/institution.
    • Senior Secondary with Computer Science/Computer Application as a subject.
    • Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering from a recognized polytechnic.
    • Rajasthan State Certificate in Information Technology (RSCIT) from Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University, Kota.
  • Language Proficiency: Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthan culture.

Note: Candidates appearing in the final year of their qualifying examination are eligible to apply, but they must possess the required qualification by the date of the examination.

2. Age Limit (as on January 1, 2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 40 Years

Age Relaxation:

  • 5 Years: For Male candidates of SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS who are original residents of Rajasthan.
  • 5 Years: For Women candidates of General Category.
  • 10 Years: For Women candidates of SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS who are original residents of Rajasthan.
  • 15 Years: For Ex-Servicemen.
  • No Maximum Age Limit: For Widows and Divorced Women.

Age relaxations are non-cumulative. Only one relaxation benefit will be granted.

3. Physical Standards and Efficiency Test

Candidates must meet the prescribed physical standards (Height, Chest) and pass a physical efficiency test (a distance run within a stipulated time). Specific relaxations are provided for SC/ST candidates and Ex-Servicemen as per rules.

Pay Scale

  • Approximate Pay Scale (After Probation & Regularization): Pay Matrix Level-5 of the 7th Pay Commission.
  • The starting basic pay at Level-5 is typically in the range of ₹ 29,200 – ₹ 92,300 per month, plus other admissible allowances as per Rajasthan Government rules.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on a single-stage written examination.

  • Examination Mode: Offline (OMR-based).
  • Type of Questions: Objective Type (Multiple Choice Questions).
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Duration: 2 Hours
  • Negative Marking: Yes, 1/3 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Syllabus for Written Examination:

  1. General Knowledge & Social Studies (50 Marks):
    • History, Art, Culture, Geography, Economy, and Political & Administrative System of Rajasthan.
    • Indian Political System with a focus on Rajasthan.
  2. Everyday Science (20 Marks):
    • Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Nutrition, Diseases, Ecosystem, and Computer knowledge.
  3. Mathematics (15 Marks):
    • LCM, HCF, Average, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Ratio, Time & Work, Speed & Distance, Area & Volume, Data Interpretation.
  4. National & State Level Current Affairs (15 Marks):
    • Major events in politics, economics, society, culture, technology, sports, etc., at the state and national level.

How to Apply

Applications will be accepted only through the online mode on the official RSMSSB website.

Step-by-Step Application Procedure:

  1. One-Time Registration (OTR): If not already registered, candidates must first complete the OTR on the Rajasthan SSO Portal. They must select their correct category (UR/SC/ST/OBC-NCL/MBC-NCL/EWS), gender, and domicile status and pay the requisite registration fee.
  2. Online Application Form: After OTR, log in to the SSO portal and navigate to the ‘Recruitment Portal’ under ‘Citizen Apps (G2C)’.
  3. Fill the Form: Select the advertisement for “Tehsildar Grade-III Recruitment 2024” and click ‘Apply Now’. Fill in all required details carefully.
  4. Upload Documents: Upload a recent passport-sized photograph, signature, and scanned copies of educational and computer qualification certificates as per the specified format and size.
  5. Review and Submit: Review the application thoroughly before final submission. Once submitted, no changes can be made to certain fields.
  6. Note Down Application ID: After final submission, note down the generated Application ID for future reference. Take a printout of the submitted application form for your records.
