Eligibility Criteria
RGSSH emphasizes quality healthcare delivery, and therefore, sets strict eligibility criteria for Senior Residents:
Educational Qualifications
- A medical qualification included in Schedule I or II or Part II of Schedule III of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Alternatively, an MBBS degree from a recognized institution, along with a Postgraduate Degree (MD/MS/DM/MCh/DNB/PG Diploma) in the relevant broad or super speciality.
- In case no candidate with the above qualifications is available, MBBS with three years of relevant experience in the concerned specialty may be considered.
Registration Requirement
- Candidates must have a valid registration certificate from the Delhi Medical Council (DMC).
- Alternatively, candidates who have applied to DMC and possess acknowledgement proof may also attend the interview.
- Without registration or proof of application, candidates will not be permitted to appear.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 37 years
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST/OBC: As per Govt. of India/DoPT rules
- PwBD (DIVYANG): As per applicable rules
- Departmental candidates and Ex-Servicemen: As per Govt. instructions
Special Cases:
- Upper age limit can extend to 45 years under specific relaxation schemes.
- Candidates who have completed three years of Senior Residency or Junior Residency experience in the concerned specialty may be allowed to appear.
Pay Scale and Benefits
Senior Residents at RGSSH are entitled to:
- Basic Pay: Rs. 15,600 – 39,100
- Grade Pay (GP): Rs. 6,600
- NPA (Non-Practicing Allowance): Applicable
- 7th CPC Level 11: Rs. 67,700 – 2,08,700
- Adhoc Appointment Duration: 44 days (extendable based on performance)

Selection Process
The recruitment is based on a walk-in interview, with candidates shortlisted on the basis of:
