RITES Limited, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, invites online applications from eligible candidates for engagement of Senior Technical Assistants in multiple engineering disciplines on a contract basis. The recruitment is aimed at professionals in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Chemical, Signal & Telecommunication (S&T), and Chemistry disciplines to support various projects and operations across India.
The appointment will be purely contractual initially for one year, extendable based on project requirements and performance. Selected candidates will be placed in a panel for deployment according to project needs, and empanelment does not guarantee selection.

Salary and Remuneration
- Post Name: Senior Technical Assistant
- Basic Pay: ₹16,338 per month
- Gross Monthly CTC: ₹29,735
- Approx. Annual CTC: ₹3,56,819
Remuneration may vary depending on place of posting. Candidates with higher qualifications or experience will be placed at the same pay level.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Diploma or Degree in the respective discipline from an AICTE-recognized institute or University incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature.
- Candidates with higher qualifications (Degree / PG) in the same discipline are eligible.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in the relevant domain.
- Training, internship, teaching, or fellowship period will not be counted as work experience.
Marks Requirement:
- General / EWS candidates: ≥50% marks in minimum qualification
- Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD): ≥45% marks
Reservation and PwBD Posts
- 24 posts are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) on a horizontal basis.
- Other reservations apply as per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS.
- PwBD candidates must meet physical and functional classification requirements as per the discipline.
