Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Full-time Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from AICTE-recognized institutions.
- Sections A & B of the Institution of Engineers (India) are also considered equivalent to a degree.
- Minimum Marks Requirement:
- UR/EWS: First class or minimum 60% marks.
- Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD): Minimum 50% marks.
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant discipline.
- Training, internships, academic, PhD research, or fellowship experience will not be counted towards experience.
Age Limit & Relaxation
- General Age Limit: Maximum 40 years
- Relaxations:
- SC/ST: +5 years
- OBC-NCL: +3 years
- PwBD: +10 years (in addition to other relaxations where applicable)

Selection Process
- Written Test:
- 125 objective-type questions
- Duration: 2.5 hours
- No negative marking
- Compensatory time of 50 minutes for PwBD candidates
- Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for UR/EWS, 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD
- Interview:
- Candidates shortlisted in a 1:6 ratio will be called for interview
- Weightage: Written Test – 60%, Interview – 40%
- Technical & Professional Proficiency – 30%
- Personality, Communication & Competency – 10%
- Minimum marks: 60% for UR/EWS, 50% for reserved categories
Note: Written test and interview may be conducted at RITES regional offices. Candidates can choose to appear in Hindi or English.
Remuneration & Benefits
- Pay Scale: ₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000 (IDA scale)
- Additional Allowances: 23% of basic pay (fixed/variable), HRA/Lease, PF contribution, Gratuity
