Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Technical Assistants (A-D):
- SSC (10th) or equivalent + ITI certificate (2 years full-time) in relevant trade (Electronics/Mechanical/Electronics Mechanic/Welder/Turner/Fitter/Instrument Mechanic etc.)
- National Trade Certificate awarded by NCVT and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC)
- Post-qualification experience varies from 2–6 years depending on the post
- Scientific Assistant:
- Diploma in Electronics/Communication or B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Electronics from a recognized institute
- Scientific Officer-A:
- Diploma or B.Sc. in Electronics, Electrical, Civil, Communication, Physics from a recognized institute
- Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience in R&D or reputed industry
Age Limit (as on closing date 31-10-2025)
- General Posts: 25–30 years (depending on post)
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: +5 years
- OBC: +3 years
- PWD: +10 years (additional 5 years for SC/ST & 3 years for OBC)
- Ex-Servicemen: Length of service + 3 years (additional relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per Govt. rules)

Salary & Benefits
- Pay as per 7th CPC Pay Levels (Level 2 to Level 7) depending on the post

Selection Process
- Stage I – Written Examination (Computer-Based Test)
- All applicants appear for CBT
- Shortlisting for next stage based on merit
- Stage II – Skill / Trade Test
- Conducted for shortlisted candidates
- Weightage: 60% CBT + 40% Skill Test
- Merit & Final Selection
- Based on combined performance in CBT and Skill/Trade Test
- Tie-breaker: Stage I marks → Stage II marks → Older candidate preference → Alphabetical order
Note: Skill/Trade Test will be conducted at designated SAMEER centres. No request for change of centre/date will be entertained.
