The Gujarat State Agriculture Universities, including Anand Agricultural University, Junagadh Agricultural University, and Navsari Agricultural University, have announced a recruitment drive for the post of Agriculture Assistant (Technical Staff, Group-3). Salary Scale

  • During probation (first 5 years): ₹26,000 per month

Educational Qualification:

  • Computer subject in Class 10 or 12

Candidates who do not have certification at the time of application must acquire it within the probation period.

Reservation and Special Provisions

  • Women: Reserved seats are available. If unfilled, these can be offered to male candidates based on merit. Widow candidates get 5% extra marks in the written exam.
  • Differently-abled Candidates: 4% reservation is provided, including subcategories like low vision, hearing impairment, cerebral palsy, one/both legs, dwarfism, acid attack victims, spine deformities, autism, intellectual disability, mental illness, and multiple disabilities.
  • Ex-Servicemen: 10% reservation. Must provide proof of service and discharge certificate.
  • Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): Valid certificates issued by competent authorities are mandatory. Certificates older than three years will not be accepted.

Selection Procedure

  • Selection is based on a single-stage competitive examination conducted either as:
    • Optical Marks Reading (OMR) test or
    • Computer Based Response Test (CBRT)
  • The exam will have Part A and Part B, with difficulty level corresponding to minimum educational qualifications.
  • Final merit list is prepared category-wise, considering reservations, gender, and other benefits.

  1. Candidates must apply online on the official university portal of any of the three universities.
  2. Documents Required: Scanned copies of educational certificates, age proof, caste/category certificate, disability certificate, ex-servicemen certificate (if applicable), and EWS certificate.
