Eligibility Criteria
- Domicile: Only campaigners belonging to Himachal Pradesh are eligible.
- Educational Qualification: As per discipline (Graduation/ITI/Class VIII depending on the post).
- Minimum Marks:
- 55% and above for UR/OBC/EWS
- 50% and above for SC/ST/PwBD
- Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as on the closing date (13.10.2025).
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- Candidates from the PwBD category with an EWS background received 10 times the number of vacancies, while OBC and SC/ST PwBD candidates received 13 and 15 times the vacancies, respectively.
- Ex-Servicemen, J&K candidates, and Project Affected Families: as per rules (up to 45 years max).
Pay Scale and Benefits
- Stipend during Training: ₹21,500 per month with 3% annual increment.
- Other Benefits: IDA, allowances (35% of basic pay under cafeteria approach), HRA, provident fund, medical facilities for self & dependents, leave encashment, and performance-related pay as per company rules.
- Regularisation: After successful completion of one-year training, trainees will be absorbed as Workmen in the same pay scale with career growth opportunities.
Selection Process
- Relevant Trades: Electrician / Fitter / Turner / Welder / Storekeeper / Surveyor
- Computer Based Test (CBT) only.
- For Assistant (Accounts) / Assistant / Driver:
- Computer Grounded Test (CBT) Trade Test (qualifying in nature).
- Exam Pattern (CBT):
- Duration: 2 hours
- Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Section I: 80 questions (discipline-related)
- Section II: 20 questions (reasoning, aptitude, English, general awareness)
- Marking: 1 mark per correct answer, no negative marking
- Qualifying Marks:
- UR/EWS/Others: 50%
- SC/ST/OBC/PwBD: 40%
- Final Merit List: Based on CBT marks (and Trade Test qualifying for applicable posts).
