The South Western Railway (SWR), Hubballi has released an official notification for the recruitment of sportspersons against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) for the year 2025–26. A total of 46 vacancies are available in different pay levels under the Railway Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016.
Eligible and talented sportspersons can apply online through the official website from 21 October 2025 to 20 November 2025 (till 23:59 hrs).

A. Zonal Railway Quota (Level-5/4): 5 Posts

B. Zonal Railway Quota (Level-3/2): 16 Posts
Includes events in Athletics, Basketball, Bodybuilding, Cricket, Chess, Hockey, Swimming, Volleyball, and Weightlifting.
C. Headquarters Quota (Level-1): 10 Posts
Includes Ball Badminton, Cricket, Golf, Water Polo, and Volleyball disciplines.
D. Bangalore Division Quota (Level-1): 5 Posts
Includes Athletics and Cricket (Women).
E. Hubballi Division Quota (Level-1): 5 Posts
Includes Athletics (Women) and Hockey (Men).
F. Mysore Division Quota (Level-1): 5 Posts
Includes Basketball, Chess, Swimming, and Table Tennis.
South Western Railway Sports Quota Salary 2025–26
The pay levels and corresponding salary structure are governed by the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) as per the Railway Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016.

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 25 years
- Date of Birth Range: Between 02.01.2001 and 01.01.2008 (both dates inclusive)
- Note: No age relaxation is applicable.
Educational Qualification

Sports Eligibility (Sports Norms)
Candidates must have represented the country or achieved positions in recognized national/international Diploma tournaments as per Railway Board norms, depending on the level applied for.
Examples include:
- Level-5/4: Represented India in Olympics OR 3rd position in World Cup/Asian Games/Commonwealth Games.
- Level-3/2: Represented India in recognized international events OR 3rd in National/Inter-University Championships.
- Level-1: Participation or ranking in recognized national championships or international events.
Only achievements on or after 01 April 2023 will be considered.
Selection Process
The recruitment will be based purely on performance in trials, sports achievements, and educational qualification.
- Trials – Candidates will be assessed for game skill, physical fitness, and coach’s observation (max. 40 marks).
- Assessment of Sports Achievements – Max. 50 marks.
- Educational Qualification – Max. 10 marks.

Selected candidates must pass the BEE-ONE (B-1) and above medical classification as per Railway norms.
