Vacancy Details

The University of Hyderabad is recruiting for a total of 45 posts, including various positions in Group-A, B, and C. Additionally, there are 7 backlog vacancies reserved for candidates with specific qualifications or disabilities. The detailed vacancy breakdown is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria and Required Qualifications

The University requires all candidates to meet strict educational and professional criteria for each post. The eligibility conditions are as follows:

1. Assistant Librarian

  • Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks.
  • Knowledge of library computerization is essential.
  • Candidates must have cleared NET/SLET/SET or hold a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC regulations.
  • Candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to 11 July 2009 must meet specific evaluation and publication requirements to qualify for exemption from NET/SLET/SET.

2. Assistant Registrar

  • Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.

3. System Programmer

  • Option 1: B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science/Electronics Engineering with 5 years of programming experience in C/C++, Java, MySQL, Oracle, PHP under Windows/Linux/UNIX platforms.
  • Option 2: M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. Computer Science/MCA with 3 years of relevant programming experience.

4. Senior Assistant

  • Bachelor’s Degree with three years’ office experience in a recognized university, government body, PSU, or private organization with a minimum turnover of Rs. 200 Crores.
  • Proficiency in typing, computer applications, and drafting is required.

5. Office Assistant

  • Bachelor’s Degree with two years’ experience in relevant clerical positions.
  • Typing speed: English 35 wpm or Hindi 30 wpm.
  • Computer proficiency required.

6. Laboratory Assistant

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of experience handling and maintaining laboratory instruments.
  • Experience must be from a recognized university, research establishment, government, PSU, or private organization with an annual turnover of Rs. 200 Crores.

7. Junior Office Assistant

  • Bachelor’s Degree with typing skills as above and computer proficiency.

8. Laboratory Attendant

  • 10+2 in Science stream or 10th pass with Science as a subject and a skill certificate in Laboratory Technology.

9. Library Attendant

  • 10+2 or equivalent with a certificate course in Library Science and one year of library experience.
  • Basic computer knowledge is mandatory.

Age Limit and Relaxation

The maximum age for posts varies by group and category:

  • UR: 35–62 years (depending on post)
  • SC/ST: +5 years relaxation
  • OBC (NCL): +3 years
  • PwBD: +10 years for UR, with cumulative relaxations for SC/ST/OBC categories
  • Age relaxation is also applicable for outsourced staff of UoH as per service duration.
