The Directorate of Education under the UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, through Samagra Shiksha (a centrally sponsored scheme of the Government of India), has released a fresh recruitment notification for the academic session 2025–26. This notification invites candidates to attend a walk-in interview for various teaching and non-teaching positions on a short-term contract (STC) basis.

The posts include Assistant Teachers (TGT), Primary School Teachers, Upper Primary School Teachers, Part-Time Instructors, ICT Instructors, and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS). Application Fees

  • No Application Fees: Candidates are not required to pay any application fee for appearing in the walk-in interview.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility requirements vary depending on the post applied for:

1. Assistant Teacher (TGT – Social Science)

  • Graduate in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. degree from an NCTE-recognized institution
    OR
  • Four-year integrated B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution
  • The medium of study in SSC should be English.
  • Must have passed Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).

2. Primary School Teacher (All Subjects – English Medium)

  • Senior Secondary (Class XII) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
    OR
  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 4 years B.El.Ed.
    OR
  • Graduation and 2 years D.El.Ed.
    OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. (provided they undergo a 6-month bridge course as per NCTE norms).
  • Medium of study at SSC should be English.
  • Must have passed TET conducted by Central or State Government.

3. Upper Primary School Teacher (English Medium)

  • Graduation (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.) with at least 50% marks and B.Ed.
    OR
  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed.
    OR
  • Graduation with 2 years D.El.Ed.
  • Medium of study at SSC should be English.
  • Must have passed TET in the respective subject.

4. Part-Time Instructors

  • Music Instructor: 12th pass with 50% marks + Degree/Diploma in Music.
  • Physical Education Teacher: 12th pass with 50% marks + UG Diploma in Physical Education or B.P.Ed.
  • Work Education (Computer): 12th pass with 50% marks + BCA/B.Sc. IT or PGDCA.

5. ICT Instructor (Computer Instructor)

  • 12th pass with 50% marks + BCA/B.Sc. IT
    OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with PGDCA.

6. Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)

  • 10th pass or equivalent examination.
  • Knowledge of local language is mandatory.

Age Limit (For All Posts)

  • Maximum Age: 30 years
  • Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules.

Salary Scale

Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly remuneration as follows:

  • Assistant Teacher (TGT): ₹27,000/-
  • Primary Teacher: ₹23,000/-
  • Upper Primary Teacher: ₹23,000/-
  • Part-Time Instructor: ₹12,100/-
  • ICT Instructor: ₹15,000/-
  • Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): ₹12,000/-

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted on the day of the walk-in interview and includes:

  1. Written Test / Practical Test – For Primary, Upper Primary, and TGT Teachers.
  2. Classroom Demonstration – To test teaching methodology, communication, and subject knowledge.
  3. Practical Test – For Part-Time Instructors and ICT Instructors.
  4. Interview – Final interaction to assess suitability.

Only candidates scoring minimum 40% marks in the written/practical test will be eligible for classroom demonstration and interview.

  • Educational certificates and mark sheets.
  • Proof of age (Birth certificate/10th certificate).
  • Valid TET certificate (for teaching posts).
