Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

  1. Essential:
    • MBBS degree qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
    • Postgraduate degree in the concerned Specialty or Super-specialty (as per Schedule VI of MCI norms).
    • Minimum three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident/Tutor/Registrar in the concerned specialty after obtaining the postgraduate qualification.
  2. Special Note:
    • DM/M.Ch. (3 years) shall count towards teaching experience.
    • DM/M.Ch. (5 years) – last two years count towards teaching experience.

Age Limit

  • Maximum Age: 40 years as on the date of interview.
  • Age Relaxation: As per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD candidates.

Pay Scale

The contractual remuneration offered for the post of Assistant Professor is as follows:

No additional allowances, benefits, or concessions will be applicable. Income tax will be deducted at source.

Selection Process

The selection process will be based solely on a walk-in interview conducted by the selection board of VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital. The final selection will depend on:

No written test or online examination will be held.
