Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must ensure they meet the prescribed eligibility conditions before applying.
Educational Qualification:
- Must possess an MBBS degree included in the First/Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Candidates with foreign MBBS degrees must have cleared the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE).
- A recognized postgraduate degree or diploma in the concerned specialty is mandatory.
- Must be registered with the Medical Council of India/State Medical Council. Selected candidates must register with the West Bengal Medical Council within six months of joining.
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025):
- Maximum age: 40 years
- Relaxations:
- SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
- OBC (A & B): 3 years
- Unreserved (PWD): up to 45 years
- Doctors with regular service under West Bengal Govt.: 5 years
- Doctors with contractual service under West Bengal Govt.: 3 years
- Well-qualified and experienced doctors: 2 years

Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be appointed under Pay Matrix Level-16 as per the West Bengal Services (Revision of Pay and Allowance) Rules, 2019.
- Basic Pay: Rs. 56,100/- per month
- Allowances: Other admissible government allowances will be provided in addition to basic pay.
