Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria vary according to the position applied for. A detailed breakdown is provided below:
1. Medical Officer
- Educational Qualification: MBBS degree recognized by the Medical Council of India. Registration with the West Bengal Medical Council is mandatory.
- Age Limit: Maximum 36 years as of 1st September 2025 for unreserved candidates.
- Experience: Not mandatory, but relevant experience will be advantageous.
2. Security Officer
- Educational Qualification: Graduate degree in any discipline from a UGC-recognized university.
- Service Requirement: Must be an ex-serviceman with at least 5 years of service in the regular Army, Navy, Air Force, CISF, BSF, ITBP, or SSB, not below the rank of Lieutenant / Assistant Commandant. Industrial security experience in a reputed organization is preferred.
- Age Limit: Maximum 37 years as of 1st September 2025 for unreserved candidates. Service period in the armed forces can be deducted from actual age for eligible candidates, provided the age does not exceed 45 years.
3. Staff Nurse
- Educational Qualification: Higher Secondary or equivalent in any stream, plus a Degree or Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from a recognized institute. Registration with West Bengal Nursing Council is required.
- Age Limit: Maximum 32 years as of 1st September 2025 for unreserved candidates.
4. Assistant Sub-Inspector (Security)
- Educational Qualification: Higher Secondary (Class XII) qualification.
- Service Requirement: Ex-servicemen with at least 5 years of service in the regular Army, Navy, Air Force, BSF, CISF, ITBP, or SSB. Experience in industrial security in PSUs is preferred.
- Age Limit: Maximum 37 years as of 1st September 2025 for unreserved candidates.
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD): 10 years
- Maximum age considering all relaxations: 45 years

Reservation and Special Provisions

Selection Process
For Medical Officer, Security Officer, and Assistant Sub-Inspector (Security):
- Personal Interview: Conducted in Kolkata only.
- Language Requirement: Ability to read, write, and speak in Bengali is preferred but not mandatory for Nepali-speaking candidates.
- Final Merit List: Prepared based on interview scores. In case of tie, older candidates are given preference.
For Staff Nurse:
- Assessment Criteria:
- Academics: 75 marks
- Work Experience: 10 marks
- Personal Interview: 15 marks
Marking Scheme for Academic Performance:
- Higher Secondary: 25 marks
- Basic B.Sc. Nursing: 40 marks (scaled by percentage)
- Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing: 40 marks
- M.Sc. Nursing: 5 marks
- Diploma in Clinical Speciality (minimum 1 year): 5 marks
Work Experience Scoring:
- Up to 12 months: 0 marks
- 12–24 months: 2 marks
- 24–36 months: 4 marks
- 36–48 months: 6 marks
- 48–60 months: 8 marks
- 60 months and above: 10 marks
Final merit is based on the combined score of academics, experience, and personal interview.
