Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: A Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University. Importantly, a working knowledge of Urdu is mandatory. This will be assessed through a descriptive test as part of the selection process.
Age Limit (as on January 1, 2025):
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age for Open Merit (OM): 40 years
- Age Relaxations: Applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, RBA, ALC/IB, PSP, PwD, Ex-Servicemen) as per the rules of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir. For instance, the maximum age limit for SC/ST/OBC/EWS is 43 years, and for Ex-Servicemen, it is 48 years.
Domicile: Candidates must be a Domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. A valid Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority must be possessed by the candidate on or before the application deadline of July 15, 2025.
