All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rajkot, Gujarat, a premier central autonomous institute of national importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India, has announced rolling recruitment for the posts of Senior Residents (Non-DM/M.Ch) under the Government of India’s Residency Scheme. The recruitment is aimed at enhancing the clinical, academic, and research capabilities of the institute while providing excellent career opportunities for young doctors with postgraduate medical qualifications. The appointment is initially for a tenure of one year, extendable up to three years based on performance and conduct. Candidates will be posted at AIIMS Rajkot campus and will be expected to work full-time, in shifts, and contribute to the academic, clinical, and research functions of the institute.

Application Fee:
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹ 1,000 + 18% GST = ₹ 1,180
- SC/ST: ₹ 800 + 18% GST = ₹ 944
- PwBD Candidates: No Fee

Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification:
- Postgraduate medical degree (MD/MS/DNB/DM/M.Ch/M.Sc/Ph.D) from a recognized university or institute.
- Candidates should have passed the qualifying exam by 31st October 2025. Candidates awaiting result may apply provisionally.
- Age Limit:
- Maximum 45 years as of 6th October 2025.
- Age relaxation for SC/ST: 5 years
- Age relaxation for OBC: 3 years
- Age relaxation for PwBD: 10 years (General), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST)
- Other Criteria:
- Candidates employed in government institutions must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview.
- EWS, OBC, SC, ST certificates must be valid and issued by competent authority.
- OBC candidates must belong to Non-Creamy Layer as per central list.
Salary & Pay Scale:
- Senior Resident (Medical): ₹ 18,750 + ₹ 6,600 Grade Pay + NPA (Non-Practicing Allowance) plus other allowances
- Revised as per 7th CPC: Level – 11 of the Matrix (Pre-revised PB – 3, entry pay ₹ 67,700 + NPA + other allowances)
- NPA applicable only for medical candidates
Selection Process:
- Written Examination (MCQ based): 50% weightage
- Academic Record: 30% weightage (marks, number of attempts, publications in indexed journals)
- Interview: 20% weightage
- Interview Call Ratio: 1:6 (one post, six candidates called)

- Leave entitlement as per Central Residency Scheme.
- Contract can be terminated by the institute or candidate with one-month notice or salary in lieu.
