Vacancy Details

The recruitment drive is for 35 posts of Assistant Town Planner. The distribution is as follows:

  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 5

  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 1
  • Extremely Backward Class (EBC): 6
  • Backward Class (BC): 4

Selection Process

The recruitment will follow a two-stage process:

Final merit will be based on written exam performance. In case of tie, preference will be given to candidates with earlier date of birth, and if that matches, alphabetical order of names will be considered

Reservation Rules

The Bihar reservation policy applies strictly:

  • Caste-based reservation for SC, ST, BC, and EBC candidates
  • 10% EWS reservation with valid certificates
  • 35% posts reserved for women (horizontal)
  • 4% reservation for PwBD in specific disability categories
  • 2% quota for grandchildren of freedom fighters
