ESIC PGIMSR Recruitment 2025 – Apply for Senior Resident & Teaching Faculty Posts

ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Indore (Madhya Pradesh), under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, is seeking dedicated and skilled professionals for its teaching and clinical departments. The engagement will be purely contractual, initially for one year, and may be extended up to three years depending on the candidate’s performance and institutional needs.

The recruitment is open for Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Senior Resident posts in departments such as Cardiology, Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Surgical Oncology, and Urology.

Retired faculty up to the age of 69 years are also eligible to apply, providing an opportunity for experienced educators to continue contributing to the medical community.

Note:

• Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) will be followed as per Government of India guidelines.
• If no suitable reserved category candidates are available, vacancies may be temporarily filled for up to 44 days on a de-reserved basis.

Eligibility Criteria

(A) Age Limit (as on 19 November 2025)

• Teaching Faculty: Maximum age limit is 69 years.
• Senior Resident: Maximum age limit is 45 years, with age relaxation applicable as per Government of India norms.

Additional Notes:

• The engagement will not continue beyond 70 years of age for teaching faculty.
• Candidates claiming EWS or OBC reservation must produce valid and updated certificates as per Central Government format.
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificates should be issued within one year prior to the interview date.

(B) Educational Qualifications

• All qualifications must meet National Medical Commission (NMC) standards (previously MCI).
• Candidates should possess an MBBS degree along with MD/MS/DNB in the relevant specialty.
• Updated Medical Registration (NMC/State Council) is mandatory. Candidates with pending registration must submit proof of “Applied for Registration.”

Pay Scale and Remuneration

Selected candidates will receive salary and allowances as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) guidelines:

Additional Information:

• Retired candidates are allowed to draw full pay without deductions.
• Pensioners will continue to receive their pension and dearness relief during contractual engagement.

Contract Duration and Terms

• Initial Tenure: 1 year, or until the joining of a regular appointee, or attainment of 70 years of age — whichever is earlier.
• Extension: May be extended up to 3 years based on satisfactory performance.
• Termination Clause: Either party can terminate the contract with one month’s notice.
• Absence Policy: Absence beyond 7 days without approval will result in automatic termination.
• Other Benefits: PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Seniority, and Promotion are not applicable under this contractual arrangement.
• Attendance Requirement: Faculty members must record attendance manually and through the Aadhaar-Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS).

Selection Process

The selection process will be entirely merit-based and will assess both academic and professional performance:

1. Screening of Applications – Depending on the candidate’s educational background and required qualifications.
2. Personal Interview – Conducted offline by the Selection Board.
3. Merit Evaluation – Based on educational credentials, teaching/research experience, and interview performance.
4. Result Publication – Results will be displayed on the official ESIC website: esic

No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview or for document submission.
