The State Bank of India (SBI), India’s largest public sector bank, has officially announced recruitment for Specialist Cadre Officers (SCO) on a regular basis. Vacancy Details

The SBI recruitment drive has announced a total of 59 vacancies for Specialist Cadre Officers in different categories. The details are as follows:

1. Manager (Products – Digital Platforms)

  • Grade: MMGS-III
  • Total Vacancies: 34
  • Age Limit: 28 – 35 years (as on 31 August 2025)

2. Deputy Manager (Products – Digital Platforms)

  • Grade: MMGS-II
  • Total Vacancies: 25
  • Age Limit: 25 – 32 years (as on 31 August 2025)

Category-Wise Distribution

  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 9
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 3
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 15
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 5
  • Unreserved (UR): 27

Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) is available under horizontal reservation.

Manager (Products – Digital Platforms)

  • Mandatory:
    • B.E. / B.Tech in IT, Computers, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics & Telecommunication
    • OR Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
    • Minimum 60% marks from a recognized university/institution.
  • Preferable:
    • MBA or Executive MBA.
  • Additional Certifications (Preferred):
    • PMP (Project Management Professional)
    • PRINCE2 Practitioner
    • NPCI Certification of Payment Systems
    • RBI Certified Payment Specialist
    • Certified Card Industry Professional (CCIP)
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • PCI Qualified Assessor (PCI QSA)
    • Certified Risk and Compliance Professional (CRCP)

Deputy Manager (Products – Digital Platforms)

  • Mandatory:
    • B.E. / B.Tech in IT, Computers, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics & Telecommunication
    • OR MCA with minimum 60% marks.
  • Preferable: MBA or Executive MBA.
  • Preferred Certifications: Same as listed for the Manager post.

Work Experience

  • Manager: Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in Digital Payments / FASTag / AFC Systems / FinTech Solutions / Risk Management / CRM.
  • Deputy Manager: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in the same domains.

Note: Training or teaching experience will not be considered as relevant work experience.=

  • SC / ST: 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • PwBD (UR/EWS): 10 years
  • PwBD (OBC): 13 years

Salary Scale

Manager (Products – Digital Platforms) – MMGS-III

  • Basic Pay: ₹85,920 – 99,320 – 105,280
  • Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Provident Fund (PF), Contributory Pension Fund (NPS), Leave Fare Concession (LFC), Medical Facilities, and other perks as per SBI rules.

Deputy Manager (Products – Digital Platforms) – MMGS-II

  • Basic Pay: ₹64,820 – 67,160 – 93,960
  • Allowances: Same benefits as listed above.

Selection Process

The recruitment will be conducted in two stages:

  1. Shortlisting:
    • Candidates fulfilling the eligibility will be shortlisted by a committee.
    • Shortlisting will be based on qualifications, experience, and certifications.
  2. Interview:
    • The interview will carry 100 marks.
    • Minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the bank.
    • Final merit list will be prepared based only on interview performance.
    • In case of a tie at the cutoff marks, the candidate with higher age will be placed higher in the merit list.

Job Profile & Responsibilities

Manager (Products – Digital Platforms)

  • Drive SBI’s digital payment strategy.
  • Manage partnerships, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee system testing, troubleshooting, and certifications.
  • Monitor IT projects, risk management, and customer/merchant disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with RBI and payment industry standards.
  • Analyze and improve business processes.

Deputy Manager (Products – Digital Platforms)

  • Assist in implementing the digital payments strategy.
  • Handle day-to-day project monitoring and control.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments and partners.
  • Manage merchant onboarding, disputes, and CRM operations.
  • Identify business opportunities and optimize digital solutions.
