LRDE DRDO Apprentice Recruitment 2025-26: Apply for Graduate, Diploma and ITI Apprenticeship Training

The Electronics and Radar Development Establishment (LRDE), Bengaluru, a premier R&D lab under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has issued for engaging Apprentice Trainees for the financial year 2025-26. This apprenticeship is offered under the provisions of The Apprentices Act, 1961.

LRDE invites eligible Indian Nationals, registered with the NATS (National Apprenticeship Training Scheme) or NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) portals, to participate in a walk-in interview for one-year apprenticeship training across Graduate (Engineering), Graduate (General), Diploma (Engineering), and ITI categories.

Vacancy Details

LRDE has announced apprenticeship training positions under different categories. The tentative distribution of vacancies is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible.
2. Age Limit: Minimum age – 18 years as on 04 November 2025. Maximum age limit as per Government of India rules.
3. Educational Qualification:
   • Graduate Apprentices – Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University.
   • Diploma Apprentices – Diploma in relevant field from State Board of Technical Education/recognized body.
   • ITI Apprentices – Passed ITI with valid NCVT certificate.
4. Year of Passing: Candidates must have passed their qualifying examination in 2023 or later. Those who passed before 2023 are not eligible.
5. Regular Candidates Only: Only those who completed their qualifications as regular students are eligible.
6. Not Eligible:
   • Candidates who already underwent apprenticeship training.
   • Candidates with work experience of one year or more after qualification.
   • Candidates with higher qualifications.

Pay Scale / Stipend (Approximate)

• Graduate Apprentice (Engineering/General): ₹9,000 – ₹9,500 per month
• Diploma Apprentice (Engineering): ₹8,000 – ₹8,500 per month
• ITI Apprentice: ₹7,000 – ₹7,500 per month

Selection Process

• Candidates will be shortlisted based on academic merit, written test, interview, or a combination of these methods.
• Document verification will be mandatory.
• Final selection depends on eligibility verification, medical fitness, and police verification.

Required Documents at the Time of Walk-in

Candidates must bring both original and self-attested copies of the following documents:

1. NATS/NAPS registration profile printout
2. 10th class mark sheet and certificate
3. All semester/year-wise mark sheets of qualifying exams
4. Final Degree/Diploma/ITI Certificate
5. Aadhaar Card
6. Caste Certificate (if applicable)
7. Two recent passport-size photographs

Training Duration

• The apprenticeship training period will be one year, commencing from the date of execution of the apprenticeship contract.
• No employment guarantee will be provided after the completion of training.

How to Apply

1. Candidates must register themselves:
   • ITI candidates → on NAPS portal
   • Graduate/Diploma candidates → on NATS portal
2. Attend the walk-in interview on the scheduled date and time.
3. Carry the filled application/registration form, along with all required documents and certificates.
4. Report at 0900 hrs on 04 November 2025 at LRDE, CV Raman Nagar, Bengaluru.
