The Government of Rajasthan has consistently taken progressive steps toward the empowerment of girls and women. One of the most impactful initiatives in this direction is the Mukhyamantri Rajshree Yojana, introduced in the 2016–17 state budget. The scheme aims to encourage a positive mindset towards the birth of a girl child, improve their health, education, and overall development, and reduce gender discrimination in society. By providing financial assistance of up to ₹50,000 in different stages of a girl’s life, the scheme seeks to secure her future and ensure that she receives equal opportunities in education and growth.
This article provides a detailed explanation of the Rajshree Yojana, including objectives, benefits, eligibility criteria, financial support details, application process, and long-term impact.
