Eligibility Criteria

Who Can Apply?

Only candidates who are natives of Rajasthan are eligible to apply under this quota.

Educational Qualification

  • For Constable (General):
    Senior Secondary (Class 12) or equivalent from a recognized school/board.
  • For Constable Police Telecommunication:
    Senior Secondary in Science with Physics and Mathematics/Computer Science from a recognized school/board.

Outstanding Sportsperson Definition

As per the Personnel (A-2) Department notification, an Outstanding Sportsperson is defined as:

  • A native of Rajasthan who has:
    1. Represented India in any recognized international sports tournaments/championships such as Olympic Games, Asian Games, South Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, or World Championships.
    2. Won a medal at International School Games/Asian School Games.
    3. Won a medal in School National Games organized by the School Games Federation of India.
    4. Won a medal in any National Championship or Tournament organized by the Association of Indian Universities or recognized National Sports Federations.

Probation Period: 2 years

Fixed Remuneration During Probation: ₹14,600 per month

Post-Probation Salary: Approximately ₹23,000 to ₹26,000 per month, including allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and medical benefits

Physical Standards

Candidates must meet the following physical standards as per Rule-14 of the Rajasthan Police Subordinate Service Rules, 1989:

  • Height:
    • Male: 160 cm (General)
    • Female: 152 cm
  • Chest (Male only):
    • Without Expansion: 81 cm
    • With Expansion: 86 cm (Minimum 5 cm expansion)
  • Weight (Female only): Minimum 47.5 kg

Relaxation:

  • SC/ST candidates may be given 5 cm relaxation in height/chest if suitable candidates are not available.
  • Hilly and tribal area candidates will follow Rule-14(2) of the 1990 Rules.

Medical Standards

  • Near Vision: 6/6 (better eye) & 6/9 (worse eye) with or without glasses.
  • Candidate must be free from:
    • Knock knees
    • Varicose veins
    • Night blindness or color blindness
    • Flat foot, hernia, or any deformity affecting duties
